Franck de Visme, born in France, is an independant photographer since 1992. He shares his work between personnal work and press assignments. Penetrate in closed environments, “off the tracks” subjects or more simply “ too daily”. Being as close as possible from the subjects in order to reach grace, beauty .... or ugliness. Being sometimes yourself a part of the scene to go even further, closer to the subjects ..... are the main guidelines of his work. His favorite thema are : individuality expressed through the body, abuses and transgressions, worship of appearances. He spends his time betwen Paris, Barcelona or Buenos Aires, half-way between documentary and pure esthetics, a photo-journalism far away from temporal constraints and immediate actuality. After being in the Gamma Press agency in
1996, he is today one of the ANA agengy photographer. The ARTY series like « Chromes
» serie are quite aside of his usual work. But here as well the
point of view and commitment are the same : capture emotion and grace
and in the same time getting involved into the scene. This serie was
exhibited in Paris in may 2004. |
